We’re a sociable bunch, and play social evening tennis twice a week in summer, and in winter.
And we’re a hardy bunch – in fact, there’s nothing like a crisp winter evening or driving rain for a quick game of tennis at Cardross.
The Monday and Wednesday night sessions are organised for any and all adult members, male and female, to come and meet other players, mix in and play some social doubles.
This is an ideal way for members new to the club as well as established members to meet other players.
During winter months these evenings are played under lights and we ask a small £1 donation to cover the cost.
All members are welcome to come down and join in on Monday & Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm
Monday & Wednesday Adult Social Tennis – how it works
You’ll be paired with players of the same standard where possible and challenged in other games to improve your play.
When does organised social tennis take place?
Monday and Wednesday evenings.
6.30 – 8.30pm
Do I have to arrive at 6.30pm?
No. You can arrive when it suits you and we will fit you into the next round of social doubles games.
How much is it?
Free in the summer.
The evenings are played under floodlights in the winter. The cost is £1 per winter evening.
How can I help the organiser?
Bring your friends and support the new and established members meet new people.
Please respect the organiser’s decisions. Whilst the aim is for games to be balanced, there are times when this is not possible. Therefore players must expect to occasionally have games with stronger or weaker players.
It’s not just about the tennis! It’s also about meeting other players and new members and having a cup of tea and generally unwinding in the clubhouse afterwards. Do come and join us.
