The club has experienced something of a renaissance in the last few years and we are looking to continue to improve the facilities over the next years while retaining the incredible value for money that tennis in Cardross represents.
With this in mind and the large capital expenditure we are currently about to undertake on the new floodlights we need regular and successful fundraising events throughout the year to supplement the membership fee income.
The courts will be the next major expense with the predicted lifespan thought to be 3-5 years.
The cost of new court surfaces will be £35,000 + which is a large sum for our small village club.
Hence the importance of fundraising.
It is the aim of the fundraising committee to run events and services that provide both strong fundraising potential but also a very enjoyable event or meet a need from our members such as specific coaching and fitness classes.
To date we these events have included jumble sales, Christmas dances and raffles, Casino nights, open days and various smaller tennis events.
Watch the website and Facebook page for our latest fundraising initiatives early next year.
We welcome suggestions from members, in fact our recent Casino night was suggested by a member.
If you are keen to help with this very important function please ‘Contact Us’ or speak to any committee member but keep your eye on the Events section to see when our next social or fundraising event is being held.
