The final stage of development prior to joining the adults.
Cardross has had a reputation over the years for developing very good junior players and this tradition continues with the coaching team providing programs to maximise everyone’s potential no matter the standard they play at.
Two Yellow ball classes are available. Please see below for details.
Yellow Class age 11 +

The yellow ball is the same ball used by adults and the professional players we see on TV!
The represents the final stage in the junior tennis journey and the first step on the lifelong journey of trying to master the game of tennis.
Children will, at this 1 hour class, develop the skills they have learned at red, orange and green ball and add in some matchplay and more technical advice to speed their development. As always the focus is on fun and social interaction but with a leaning towards starting to move towards the Pathway 2 Performance coaching should the children wish it.
The club has also provided, free of charge, a 1 Hour coach led matchplay session in line with the latest research telling us that increased court time has a hugely positive impact on the development of any skills, tennis in particular. This will follow on from the class giving Juniors 2 hours on court from 6-8pm.
Yellow P2P Pathway 2 Performance

This is a new class designed specifically on the feedback from members and for those juniors who wish to see quick progression in both their technique and their matchplay.
LTA Performance Coach John Wilson will be running these 90 minute classes at Cardross and will be providing each junior with extensive technical advice ( if required!) for the first 60 mins and then 30 mins of matchplay where tactical advice will be given and the opportunity to see how the technical changes can benefit your overall game.
There will also be the opportunity in the future to train with and play with Yellow P2P players from other local clubs through the P2P program.
